What is recommended number of paragraphs in IELTS Essay?
The ideal number of paragraphs in an IELTS essay is 4 or 5. Your essay should always start with an introduction and it must have a conclusion as well. You can have either two or three body paragraphs.
Does making paragraphs is necessary?
Dividing your essay into paragraphs is necessary. This way you can separate your ideas and thoughts separately. Dividing your essay into various paragraphs keeps your writing coherent and in cohesion. When you divide your essay into paragraphs ensure you start afresh with a central idea and does not repeat too much information. If you keep on repeating same information, it will make your writing wordy, which will not give a good impression on the examiner.
Can I make 2 or 3 Body Paragraphs?
Making 2 or 3 body paragraphs are ideal enough to showcase your view point and ideas. But students should stay careful that their choice is dependent on the topic of the essay and your ideas. You may also refer to several examples to get an idea who paraphrasing is done to give your writing a polished look.
Can I extend my essay to 4 to 5 paragraphs?
Having 4 to 5 paragraphs is not recommended because you may get lost in the information that you are providing. You should only extend your writing to 4 to 5 paragraphs if you have enough supporting points.
